Koichiro Yoshizaki  Managing Partner&Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Yoshizaki has been involved in DQC as investment committee member since 2010 and became a Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer in April 2012. In the early stage of the Japanese Private Equity industry in late 90’s he started and progressed his career in venture capital, buyouts and turnaround at Schroder Ventures and MKS Partners.From 2005 to 2009 he was responsible for investments targeting growth companies in Asia including Japan at Carlyle Group. In 2009,he founded Growth Initiative Inc, a boutique investment firm and executed buyouts and growth capital investments in small to medium sized growth companies in Japan.Prior to joining Schroder Ventures, he was involved in start up of telecom service at AT&T Japan and international banking and corporate finance at Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corp. B.A. Aoyama Gakuin University /M.B.A. Hosei Graduate School/Attended Rutgers University.  

Nobuo Sugiuchi  Managing Partner

Mr.Sugiuchi joined DQC as an advisor in December 2011 and became a Managing Partner in April 2012. Mr.Sugiuchi has extensive private equity investment experience in buy-out, PIPE, real estate and distressed asset with global investment funds. Mr.Sugiuchi began his investment career in 1999 as an Asset Manager with Lone Star Funds in Japan. Mr.Sugiuchi was a founding member of Soros Real Estate Partners’ Japanese business where he led the build out of hotel investment platform in Japan. Mr.Sugiuchi most recently served as a Managing Director of ACTIV Investment Partners , a private equity firm that was jointly set up by Rothschild and Mitsui, where he led buy-out and PIPE investments and strategic restructurings of portfolio companies. Mr.Sugiuchi also served as a strategic consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Tokyo and he started his business career as an engineer at TOSHIBA Corporation. Mr. Sugiuchi holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, both from Kyoto University.   

Rex Wang  Managing Director

Mr. Wang joined DQC in April 2009 and is responsible for deal sourcing and portfolio monitoring in Taiwan. He was also the founding member of Daiwa Securities SMBC PI’s private equity investment practice for China. He led the investments including – Neo Solar Power (solar cell manufacturer), Hon Chuan China (drinking bottler), Baroque Japan (apparel SPA). Prior to that, Mr.Wang was with CLSA Capital Partners, a USD 1B Hong Kong-based private equity fund focused on Pan-Asia areas. Also he worked with A.T. Kearney and Toyota Motor Corp. Mr.Wang hold a Bachelor of Science from National Taiwan University , a Master of Arts from Nagoya University and MBA from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.  

Takeshi Okado  Vice President

Mr. Okado joined Daiwa Quantum Capital in August 2011. He started his career at principal investment division of Daiwa Securities Group in 2004. He played main role in conducting due diligence and negotiation of private equity transaction in wide range of industries including retail chain, construction, human resource, and manufacturing. He also involved in monitoring and mentoring portfolio companies after acquisition. MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and LLB from the University of Tokyo. 

Elisa Chang  Vice President

Ms. Chang joined DQC in October 2009 and is responsible for the fund management and investors relationship since then. Ms. Chang began her fund management career in 1998 with China Development Industrial Bank in Taipei, has been involved in the fund operation business for approx. 9 years. Ms. Chang also has experience in corporate finance with major securities firms in Japan. Ms. Chang holds a B.A in Commerce from Taiwan National Chengchi University.

Kiyohisa Hirano  President&Investment Committee Member

Mr.Hirano joined DQC in June 2010 and is responsible for general management of DQC. Mr.Hirano has been providing support to Japanese companies with respect to business/financial strategies at Daiwa Securities Group since 2004. Mr.Hirano has been involved in equity market research for small-growth, emerging companies for 17 years, consistently top ranked in analyst rankings . He has strong relationships with CEOs and Board of Directors in many Japanese companies. He holds a BS from Chuo University. He is a member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan
